The Control Panel wiring looks (and is) complex, but is necessary to minimise operational problems during exhibitions. All locomotive routing combinations have already been thought through and the wiring provided accordingly.

Turnout assembly requires skillful precision (and a lot of supervision by the look of it too!). Trackwork starts to come together on one of the Finchley Road baseboard sections.

The platform waiting rooms and awnings are taking shape. The building is constructed from plasticard whilst the awnings are a mixture of brass and plasticard. The support brackets are from Scale Link and the valancing is from the Muswell Models range. The hanging lamps are built by cutting the pin off a drawing pin, drilling a hole in the centre of the resulting disc and inserting a lacemakers pin to represent the bulb and support conduit!
