8 minutes to ”doors open“ - final preparations

Time to get the rolling stock in place

Alan, Bob and Paul operate the station, goods yard and engine shed on Sutton. Some of the manoeuvres and pass-offs are tricky, hence the concentration.

Meanwhile, some distance away, Bern is operating the Fiddle Yard. The distance from Fiddle Yard to Station on the Sutton layout is sufficient to require the use of an intercom system to ensure activities are co-ordinated.

While the layouts are in operation, other club members and their partners are keeping the visitors provided with food and drink.

As ever, there is comprehensive trade support at the exhibition.
