Class N2 0-6-2T No.69552.
An old Mainline model that has had its condensing gear removed and much detail added in the form of extra handrails, steps, rainstrips, lamps, etc. It is, mechanically, ‘as bought’ but has had its plastic trailing wheels replaced with Jackson wheels. The model has been heavily weathered and shows signs of overfilling of the tanks. 69552 was based at Parkeston and occasionally wanders into Lincolnshire on local goods and passenger workings.

Class 5MT ‘Crab’ 2-6-0 No.42855.
This is a Bachmann model that has been heavily weathered and fitted with real coal, screw couplings and Springside lamps, but is otherwise unmodified. I have a photo showing the prototype in deplorable condition on a Radford train at Clipstone on the LD&ECR and I based the condition of my model on this photograph.

This loco is a PDK Models brass kit, fitted with a Portescap motor. The D11s were seen all over the GC main lines and on Sutton this one works main line passenger trains from the east coast to Manchester and its home base of Trafford Park.
